02-20-2001 There has been a slight delay in the rollout of the Team Nitro site.  I have run across a couple of issues on the site layout I am trying to fix.  Also I have decided not to open the site with a bunch of incomplete pages.  But the good news is I have time this week to work on it, so I expect the site to be up this coming weekend.  Also I have bagged Counter Strike, and plan on getting some MP time in.  So that makes Land Warrior, Rogue Spear, and Counter Strike as shooters the team will be playing MP regularly.  We will be a force to be reckoned with!!   02-14-2001 Well, I apologize for letting over a week go by without updating the site, but I have been working like a madman on the Team Nitro site.  I am hopeful for a rollout of the Team Nitro site by the end of this week, probably by Sunday.  It will be an entirely different site in appearance and layout, I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised.  I'm glad to report that Burnin_Monk has acquired Delta Force Land Warrior, and is currently honing his battle skills in single player.  I expect we will be teaming up in MP soon to gut our unsuspecting opponents...   Burnin_Cat is also working on acquiring Delta Force, so we should be able to field a good team in Novaworld soon.  Burnin_Zappa reports that he is an avid player of Starcraft Broodwars.  I may have to give it a go, once I have both sites up and running that is, as I am currently out of time to be online.  Burnin_Granny reports that he is still looking for European recruitment, we shall keep the site posted... Till next time, Jaymz 02-03-2001 I am beginning the transition of the webpage from Midtown Madness based to shooter based.  As discussed previously, Team Burnin will play on a variety of games with a focus on shooters, and our other team, Team Nitro, will be our Midtown Madness and Midtown Madness 2 team.  I have secured a server (Tripod) for the Nitro site, and am working on the web design for our Nitro site.  I have worked on the layout of the screenshots page, give it a view.   Also, I have Great News!   Burnin_Granny has decided not to leave the team, and as suggested by our resident scholar Burnin_Cat. Burnin_Granny, AKA Nitro_Lupei, will be launching a European affiliate for Team_Nitro.  Go get em Lupei!! And as you can see I added some more Auto Show shots.   Does this particular vehicle look familiar???   It should, especially to Burnin_Monk.... That's Right!  It's a Sube.  For those of you not familiar with a "Sube", that's short for Subaru, as in the outstanding download from Patwo Designs for Midtown Madness 1.  This Sube is a WRX, a new age variant of the venerable 555.  All wheel drive, all the sports car bells and whistles, a screamer.  Adios..... 01-31-2001 Posted a few more photos that I had promised earlier from the North American International Auto Show. The first image here is of the Dodge Super 8 Hemi, way cool.  The second image is of the 2003 Dodge Viper, all new design.  You saw it here first!   Also I will be posting more screenshots soon.  I will also be posting screenshots from other games I've been playing recently.  I am currently addicted to Delta Force Land Warrior.  Been playing on NovaWorld, and getting my old sniper skills back.  Had a couple of good runs in Capture the Flag games.  Currently, between all of the Delta Force games, probably have +1000 kills online.  Some of you fellow Team Burnin members need to bag this game so we can get a team together.  I currently am playing as a lone wolf, but I've been approached by a couple of teams and am considering joining, but I would much rather play with my Burnin and Nitro com padres.  Think it over dudes.  Also, weigh in on the Forum, Cat has suggested that Lupei stick with Nitro/Burnin and start a European Division.  Sounds like an outstanding idea to me!! 01-23-2001 Team Burnin received some unfortunate news today.  Our longtime member, Burnin_Granny, has decided to leave the team and join team TA.  Granny, aka Nitro_Lupei and now TA_Lupei, has left a message on the forum page.  His decision is quite understandable considering the exceptional time zone differences between North America and England.  I wish him the best of luck with his new team, and Lupei, please don't hold it against me when I stomp your guts out in MM2.   :) jk    Peace! 01-22-2001 Hello all, check out the screenshots page, which should be up and running.  I'll keep about 12 shots on the page at a time, give or take.  Send some good shots in.  Burnin_Zappa is currently deep into learning vehicle design.  Team Burnin needs some wheels, and Zappa is going to give it a go.  Here are a couple of raw shots of a possible vehicle, a concept vehicle called Crossfire.  It is sort of a throwback to the 50's style hotrod.   Also many thanks to Zappa, Doc and Cat for the contributions to the screenshots page.  I was up way late last night, working on the site.  Don't forget to stop by our Forum and toss in your few cents about whatever ails you.  Also check out our links page, which now has links to developer sites,  team sites, and sites of interest to gamers.  So whadya think about the car?  Inquiring minds want to know!  And if you wish to see more of this vehicle, it's actually on the cover of the February issue of Motor Trend, which I just happened to see today.  The magazine has an article on the vehicle and lots of pics.   01-17-2001 Well, here it is, the beta rollout of the new Team Burnin website.  After hours of toiling in Dreamworks, I finally threw in the towel.. for now.  The program I ended up using for this site is very user friendly, but that comes with a price.  For now there will be no Flash, no fancy Java script, no bells and whistles, just the meat and potatoes here.  But, I want all of my fellow Team Burnin and Team Nitro brothers to weigh in on the overall design of the site, and keep in mind, it is a work in progress.  I will update the site regularly as long as there is something to report.  So get some good screenshots, and get them to me.  I will size and edit them as necessary.  And lets get some regular participation in tourneys so I can report the good news.   And now for some news... Today I went to the North American International AutoShow, being the car junkie that I am.  We need a team car, and I have some good ideas.  Fudge has so graciously offered to build a team car (way ta go Packer), and I am going to post some pics of vehicles that would make a good choice.  My suggestion is that we blaze a different path, be unique and original.  Lemme know what you all think...  also I need all team members to Email me your info (email address, bios, etc.) for the members page.  I will hunt you down if I don't hear from you..
